Candice Bergen’s husband Marshall Rose dead at 88 from complications with Parkinson’s disease
The “Murphy Brown” alum’s life partner died on Saturday from “complications with Parkinson’s disease,” Rose’s New York Times obituary published Monday read.
Rose died “peacefully at home” and was “surrounded by loved ones” at the time of his passing. He was 88 years old.

Their nuptials took place approximately five years after the death of Bergen’s first husband, Louis Malle. Although Rose and Bergen did not welcome any children together, his obituary did mention her only child, Chloe Malle. “He is survived by his wife Candice; his children Wendi and Andrew; his step-daughter Chloe; and his grandchildren Alexander, Clio, Ell, Milo, Arthur, and Alice,” the obituary read. Chloe gave birth to Bergen’s first grandchild in May 2020.
